The earthquake and tsunami that are ravaging Japan, have shaken, excuse the expression, many of us parents. Of course, the first thought went to the Japanese families, children, the devastation. The second one, which these days takes stand in all the newspapers, the nuclear plants.
As mothers and fathers just do not think any harm that may result in plants. We also think of how our choices affect the future of our adult children. Not always compute the scope of our decisions for the long haul.
Yet events like this remind us that beyond the immediate gains, referred to often our children are certainly the beneficiaries, some of our choices and erased or damaged parts, with the death, the future of new generations. I ask you parents who read Bebeblog: What reactions have you had these days? What were your thoughts?
