We are all terrified by a kind of performance anxiety that goes along with parenting: I’ll be a good father? I’ll be a good mother? And what kind of parent I want to be? Certainly a good parent. It is not something you can learn more than we can choose the models to inspire us. But you can learn the opposite, ie how to be as bad parents and therefore you should not nor would it ever be.
To give some input in this respect comes the blog MyBadParent that with much irony and a hint of disapproval collects images of the complaint to the limit and sometimes even more than with children as protagonists, along with parents, in situations really absurd. A glance at the headlines make clear immediately if you do not want to become that parent, which parent you never want to be your son.
