Today I read of yet another investigation of the police officers who uncovered the abuse at a nursery school Italian. We are not interested here the details of the affair, but the impact that these stories have on our lives as parents. On the one hand, as a mom, I can be happy that the investigations into those who mistreat children are effective and that teachers can not be considered safe just because they occupy a certain role in society.
On the other hand I wonder if it would now be in a different way to define the path that leads an adult to take care of children. We all agree on the need for high academic qualifications and continuous training courses. It would not be the case even start thinking about a training course which includes sessions by the psychologist?
Sounds like a strange proposal? Those who practice the profession as a psychotherapist must first be followed by a psychologist personally do not return to their problems in patients. A fortiori, those who work with our children should not be a super man, but a person self-conscious and able to manage their own inner conflicts.
I realize this is a delicate issue. So I ask you readers to help Bebeblog to reflect more thoroughly on the issue. And if you are parents and teachers also would be nice to hear advice from those who share their time each day with a class of children.
