Assessing the links between antiperspirant and breast cancer

The connection between antiperspirant and breast cancer seems to hang in the balance of other influences and practices.
I’ve had a lipoma which may have been caused by antiperspirants, but the doctor didn’t have any opinion as to whether it did or not. He just said it was possible. A lipoma is a fatty, benign tumor.
A magazine that I read regularly, Woman’s World, has stated (in a recent article) an obvious precaution about using antiperspirants. It said not to use deodorants directly after shaving the underarms because it could lead to cancer. They’ve also indicated that pure vanilla helps to fight breast cancer.
Other things that I suspect would ward off cancer is:
~Thoroughly washing every day
